How to play The Daily Headlines
The Daily Headlines is a free daily history game. Each day’s issue has five real headlines from the New York Times archives, from 1900 to today. Guess the year each one was printed.
Scoring
The closer you get, the more points you score, up to 1,000 per headline and 5,000 per issue. The exact year scores 1,000, one year off 950, five years off 875 and ten years off 650. After that points fall away quickly, and a guess 80 or more years off scores nothing.
Every day
A new issue comes out every day. Missed one? Play it from the Archives, follow your scores in Stats, and see how you stack up against your Friends.
